The Sufi is he to whom nothing is attached, and who does not become attached to anything. Nuri

Going and doing; that is what gives life its joy. Wishing to see and create-like our Lord- makes this life experience fun: with something always to look forward toward.
When the mystic speaks of stilling desire and emotion, this is a temporary state so another part of consciousness might come forward.
It is emotion, expectation, wanting, loving, going and doing, that helps make life a more complete experience. Momentary pleasure and accomplishment, without them, in some respect we would be like a cracked, empty jar; never fulfilling our promise of holding and caressing rare spices.
Doing our job joyfully without lingering attachment; going and doing for God.
