Today is one of those rare winter days. The sun has been out for most of the afternoon; helping to melt the ice in our drive-way. I’ve had time to kick back and take a short nap; open the window- smell and breathe deep the clean fresh air. There’s a sweet ness to the air and it feels good inhaling the momentary switch to spring.
Wonderfully, it’s been about 4 hours now and I’ve not had a headache; while my right hand, both calves and right lower back ache- its good not to have that persistent numbing across my forehead. Slowly I feel the stabbing sensation trying to make its presence felt, come forward and reclaim its spot as number one on my personal aches and pains list. I think I have a few more minutes before that happens.
At first, I wanted to write a piece about sin and how this local pastor categorized reiki volunteers at the local hospital as sinners; not following the original teaching of Jesus. Seems to me Jesus was all about healing others and relieving the pain of humanity. He was very slow to call names and writing about that pastor’s narrow views would be a waste of time.
For me this afternoon, it was the sweetness of the air and bright sunshine that lifted me higher. A gift from the Light and reminder that there is hope: even in darkness.
Yes- we all have to remember to breathe deep, slow down and be grateful for the moment.

It is time to go.
The sun leads toward the west.
Let us follow clothed in love.
We go to quiet place.
There you can wash your hair with sunlight
And our spirits can live on morning air.
