All spiritual learning/experience and the connection to something higher is through an expression of the Teaching. The Teaching/or path is a living organic expression of Truth. In order for this type of spiritual experience to present: it must be at the right time, in the right place, and with the right people.
Because people do not know there can be anything higher and do not have a teacher of sorts to point this out to them, as Dr. Hussain has said, 'they wander about aimlessly' accepting fool's gold for spiritual experience.
Jason has good insight into the atmosphere at some Jewish worship services; to me it was worse than going to the dentist.
Mel- nice job tying the pieces together. SB
Wandering around aimlessly can take a toll on one's spirituality. I've noticed this in my own life, for example. I consider myself a "spiritual", non-religious, person. Actually, I'm a deeply spiritual person. But all the seeking has caused me to become tired. I feel less spiritual than before, but I know deep in my heart that I must continue seeking. Even without the motivation I had before now, I know what it is in my heart that I want and need.
I found your blog tonight by searching for some spiritual topics. I'll stop by again.
