Hi Dad,
Happy Birthday!! Hopefully for your birthday, someone will find it in them to comment on something, anything, that we have written, thus far! Laugh out loud :-) I see that we have visitors because I can check our visitor statistics, but still no comments...hhhmmm. Actually it isn't even necessary for people to comment on what we have written - I hope they know that we will accept anything - from ideas to thoughts to stories, a simple "shout out or hello", even criticisms are welcome!
In any event - you said to me that "you are sorry things didn't turn out the way I wanted". However, I can't really say that it didn't. I mean I thought I wanted one thing and finally decided that was what I wanted when in actuality what I really wanted could be what happened and the lesson learned in all of it. The lesson? Always do your best at everything you do because you don't know how it will benefit you AND others later.
As for your comments - treating others kindly, finding the peace within oneself and being the best you can be, underscores my lesson. I have had people say to me before, why do I have to pick up my garbage or give up my subway seat for someone - others don't do it so why should I? They think that one individual picking up their soda can won't replenish the damaged ozone layer, or one person being kind to someone who needs a seat isn't going to stop WWIII from occurring or make the world a better place b/c EVERYONE doesn't follow suit. Why should you do it then? You have answered this in your Father, Father, comments. People should do these simple things because "The job of the spiritual traveler is to become the best person they can become, taking personal responsibility and action for them self and their lives. When an individual is in harmony with them self and their higher nature, the world around them benefits. When you have learned to balance yourself, questions like these are answered by inner awareness." Knowing this helps me be me.
Thanks Pop.
love you,
Mel
Dad says if I use my brain I might hurt myself because I have to think! Laugh out loud. The two of you have a wonderful idea with the blog. I want people to know that Melody and Stew share is not new with them. They talk all the time about a higher power and the Light. I hope everyone enjoys their spiritual journey. I sure do! HAPPY 60th BIRTHDAY STEWBALL! Love Lea
